Why a Cleaner First Impression Starts Before the Showing

The buyer's impression begins online. The listing sets the tone before anyone walks through the door.

By the time a buyer walks through the door, the showing is already halfway complete. Their expectations, their curiosity, and their level of interest were all set online.

A strong listing sets a high floor. Buyers arrive prepared to like the property, because the online experience already told them the property was worth their time. A weak listing sets a low floor. Buyers arrive skeptical, and the property has to overcome the online impression before it can build on it.

The first impression is not the front door. It is the first photo. Everything after that either confirms or contradicts what the buyer already believes.
